Brett Mason is a kite surfer I met one day while shooting on the beach – he seemed to be trying to coincide the most gusty winds with the most rampy sections of the wave, in order to get real altitude and hang time.

I spoke him and took his number so I could send some photos: it turns out he is practicing for the world altitude record, and is part of a hardcore local crew that goes out only when the wind is about to blow the water out of the Bay.
